Uh.... NO.

Caught this on Netflix streaming. The boards here happen to (currently) favor this film, but I'm more in keeping with the overall rating (4.1) -- mine is closer to 2 stars out of 10.

This is a low budget (nothing wrong with that) attempt at "adult" comedy, but most of the jokes and set-ups fall flat due to highly improbable dialogue. Just about everything feels contrived -- not only the orgy premise -- but the way in which these women stick around with absolute total loser/douchebags of partners. When (small spoiler alert!) the theme shifts to rape-for-laughs and putative awkward humor, the movie hits its nadir.

Don't misunderstand my own tastes: I can handle dark, edgy, sexually provocative material -- I generally enjoy it. But apart from a few original scenes (e.g. the game of admitting least favorite body parts) and some stand-out moments in generally inconsistent performances, I found the whole thing pointless, stupid, lame, and occasionally offensive (as in, to the intelligence). It tries hard to be un-PC but comes off not as backlash against prudery, but sexist and pathetic.

The movie is a waste of anyone's time. It's all talk and zero titillation. It tries to be smart and dark, but comes off as too juvenile, then too overly dramatic. It's uninspired, trite and pointless mesh of something... The actors involved obviously aren't there to push any social conventions, despite the title and lure.

What can I say further? It's just bad. I see it is being marketed largely as something erotic, but outside of some dialog, you can dismiss that. I don't believe any nudity or sexuality was involved, outside of an awkward, largely off camera sex scene towards the end. There is nothing sexual about this movie, outside of some very adolescent (and largely unfunny) dialog.

Avoid at all costs. Ignore the obvious fake reviews that are trying to swindle people into renting this bunk. When the powers that be stick a lusty, anonymous, half-naked woman on the cover that has absolutely nothing to do with the movie, you know they are no longer interested with honestly or integrity. They are simply trying to capitalize on the new title and lure of sexuality in order to get back whatever monies possible on their lost investment.

I simply do not rate movies that are this terrible. What's the point?

I agree pretty much with what you guys said. I thought a few of the characters were pretty realistic (albeit one-dimensional), but the overall writing was just not very good. They had a chance to take on a unique and taboo subject yet this movie could not decide whether it wanted to be a comedy or drama. If you are going to have the balls to call your movie "All American Orgy", you had damn well better show a little skin. If you don't, then the movie had better be good enough to justify the title! Alas, it was not. The climax is handled very poorly, too, in my opinion.

UPDATE (6/20): I just read an interview with Yasmine Kittles who said that she and the rest of the cast had no idea that the distributor was going to change the title and box cover art. I cannot fault the director then on that point, so I figured I would clarify that up.

I will admit I laughed out loud at a few pieces of dialogue, and I enjoyed the character of Larenz, the drug dealer. I guess that is kind of bad though when your favorite character is basically a minor character/plot device. He's a good actor though, I think.

While I was entertained enough to finish it and see what happened, the movie didn't make me think or feel much of anything at all. It was a decent enough effort from an upstart director, but I would not watch it again or recommend it.

I laughed a lot, somewhat uneven film. Todd reminded me of Michael Sho, and that's always good.

Nothing with Laura Silverman can be as bad as the retards on IMDB say it is.
