End Times Prophesies and Signs, Part 1

To anyone viewing it, it is apparent that this is a documentary that was not created to amuse or entertain but to show how end time prophesies may be recognized and/or fulfilled.

Jesus said, ""When it is evening you say, 'It will be fair weather, for the sky is red'; and in the morning, 'It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.' Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times."

Many signs of the bible that refer to the end times are now appearing and have been appearing for many years. To sum up the end-time signs and prophesies, they are:

1. wars and rumors of wars
2. famine, plaques
3. earthquakes
4. traffic and accidents
5. rapid transportation
6. increased knowledge
7. violence
8. the occult
9. the Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations
10. the anti-Christ shall be born to seduce the nations
11. there will be solar and lunar eclipses only on Jewish feast days until the year 2015. I've gone into more detail below:

War:

"And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars...For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:" (Matthew 24:7) No period has witnessed the escalation of wars as has the 20th Century.

Famine:

"For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines..." (Matthew 24:7) The Gulf War alone cost the Allies a half billion dollars a day, or about $350,000 a minute. Famine causes millions of people, mostly children, to die every year even though there is an abundance of food in the world.

Plagues:

"... and pestilences...." (Matthew 24:7) The world recession, resulting in poverty and homelessness has devastated the health care systems of many countries and diseases once thought banished by modern science have made an alarming comeback.
Epidemics of typhoid, diphtheria, and even the Black Death, have afflicted areas of India and the former Soviet Union. Deadly new strains of Malaria, Tuberculosis and Cholera are becoming resistant to all known antibiotics and are killing millions of people.

Earthquakes:
" ... and earthquakes, in various places..." (Matthew 24:7) March 27th, 1964. Alaska is devastated by a massive earthquake measuring 8.4 on the Richter scale. Amazingly, in the 30 years since the great Alaska quake, there have been as many major earthquakes as in the entire previous 2000 years of world history! The World Almanac tells us that there were only 21 earthquakes of major strength between the years 1000 and 1800. But between 1800 and 1900 there were 18 major earthquakes. In the next 50 years, between 1900 and 1950, there were 33 major quakes, and between 1950 and 1991 there were 93 major earthquakes, almost tripling the number of the previous half century, and claiming the lives of 1.3 million people around the world. This dramatic increase of severe quakes has led many scientists to predict that we are entering a new period of great seismic disturbances. The Bible also clearly predicts that the Last Days will be a time of great seismic activity, with the earth reeling to and fro like a drunken man and the towers and the cities of the nations falling!

Traffic and Accidents:

2,600 years ago, the prophet Nahum foresaw that in the last days before Jesus returns... "The chariots shall rage in the streets, they shall jostle one against another in the broad ways: they shall seem like torches, they shall run like the lightnings!" (Nahum 2:3,4).
Automobiles racing along in the night must have looked like lightning to him! And they certainly do jostle one another in the broad ways!--In an average year in the U.S. alone there are 19-1\2 million crashes, in which 4 million are injured and 45,000 killed.

Knowledge Increased:

"... knowledge shall be increased"! (Daniel 12:4)
Knowledge has certainly increased within this generation almost beyond imagination! In fact according to research studies, the total store of human knowledge is now doubling every eight years."
80% of all the scientists who have ever lived are alive today. Every minute they add 2000 pages to man's scientific knowledge, and the scientific material they produce every 24 hours would take one person 5 years to read. About a half-million new books are published every year.
The most basic building block of computer technology, the transistor, was invented at Bell Labs in 1948. In 1994 a computer chip could hold 3.1 million transistors, more than twice as many as the previous year's model. By the end of the decade, a chip contained more than a billion transistors. But have all these amazing scientific discoveries and technological breakthroughs made mankind any happier or more civilized? It seems like the more gadgets and luxuries with which man tries to find happiness and satisfaction, the more discontented and miserable he becomes! In our day and age "knowledge" has certainly "increased". But although the so-called "developed" countries such as the U.S. claim to have the most "advanced" and expensive educational systems the world has ever known, they've been turning out the most confused, ignorant and violent children they've ever produced!

hmmmm, if you look back in detail throughout history (and civilisations worldwide) the 'signs' you mention are pretty common, due to their nature you can fit them anywhere you like really (WW2 anyone?). As an obvious example look at the time the Romans occupied part of the the middle east (which is where the concept of '666' originated *its a code for the Roman emperor Nero by the way), or the end of days signs in the time of the black death (and these are just two of many examples that occurred in western civilisation ..let alone the ones that were concocted in other civilisations).
Which i guess is why its such an attractive idea for some to believe in, as it can help validate their religion (to themselves and new converts). But what could we expect from extreme religious belief, always trying to wedge itself into the fears of humans and their insecurities about life and existence.

I'll give your one prediction to cling to, this doomsday concept will keep evolving to fit the time period in which it is spread and be with us for hundreds of years to come ..pretty sad really, but humans will probably evolve beyond it as knowledge will hopefully (eventually) outweigh ignorance.

You mention only two examples of devastation on the earth that occurred hundreds of years apart, but WWI and WWII were wars that engulfed the earth as never before seen, and these wars occurred during the end times, along with foreign terrorist attacks on U.S. soil killing thousands of people and the senseless tragedies that occurred in Columbine and Oklahoma City. New diseases, such as Legionairres Disease and Aids are just as devastating as the Black Plaque but have killed many thousands of more people. However, these devastations are occurring during the time when all the other signs in the Bible are occurring. The Bible mentions wars and rumers of wars. The outbreak of wars and rumers of war during the 20th and 21st century are unparallelled. The end time signs in the Bible that I mentioned in my first two posts have all combined to match exactly the occurences on earth in these times only, starting with the beginning of the industrial age at approximately the turn of the 20th century and, according to astral projections quoted in the Bible, from 2007 through 2018. These astral occurrences have never before been consistently on the Jewish feast days and predicted in the Bible and they were given as a sign of the endtimes. God wanted us to know when the end of the world would occur. He gave his prophets these predictions that exactly match what is occurring in the world NOW. They have never all occurred at the same time nor have many of them occurred in the past. Only now. Through a series of events, including the Jews retaking of Jerusalem in 1967, this generation is witnessing the fulfillment of prophecy with respect to God's special nation. As the Bible says, "Let those with eyes, see." This is not ignorance. This is knowledge and power.

From a scientific standpoint, how much longer can anyone expect this world to last? We have depleted so many of the earth's natural resources and continuously deplete the basic life forms (plankton and other marine organisms and the earth's rainforests) that are needed for the world/humans to continue. Icebergs are melting, global warming is increasing, the rainforests are being cut down, oil is being pumped from the earth at an alarming rate, Iran now has nuclear capabilities, over-population of the planet is increasing, and other earth-ending catastrophes are on the brink. The U.S. was attaked by foreign terrorists on its own soil for the first time in hundreds of years in catostrophic proportions on 9/11. (Has God removed his protection from the U.S. because the U.S. is no longer a nation UNDER GOD?) What will stop these earth-ending catrastrophes from continuing? Will humans stop causing the damage that we are doing to the marine organisms and rainforests that we and the earth need to survive? Can we stop the icebergs from melting? Will the oil companies stop drilling? Will Iran not use a nuclear device or terrorists stop mass murdering? Will the population stop increasing? Will new diseases stop rearing their ugly heads? ALL of this is occuring NOW, not separated by decades or centuries as in the past. The world is tumbling down toward the end and man's actions, greed and dispassion for the earth and the people in it are responsible for it. Unless the devastation of our world stops, it will end sometime. It has to. It's just realistic. Everything is moving towards it.

Oh yeah, we never had war or famine or earthquakes before now, did we?

It's just vanity to think that your lifetime is so signficant. It's obvious that however wrote the bible had no idea how old the world was, so why would they know how it would end?

I specifically mentioned that the world did not have war, famines, threats, etc, on such a magnitude as it's had since the beginning of the 21st century. They have always existed but since the world is much more populated and our killing ability has gone from spears and swords to bombs and computer-guided missles, a much larger number of people are killed during battle. More people were killed in the Viet Nam war than were killed by the Egyptian, Roman and Greek empires put together. The same things holds true for diseases . . . the plague might have killed a few thousand people several centuries ago but AIDS killed a lot more people in the 21st century.

The other things that I mentioned in my previous post, which I won't duplicate here, didn't happen before the beginning of the 21st century, didn't happen as often as before the 21st centure, and didn't happen on such a huge scale as before the 21st century and many of them were prophesied thousands of years ago to these effects and are written about in the Bible.

Do you actually research these topics, or just listen to what others have said on the subject and don't even check if they were right?

Since 1981, over 25 million people have died from AIDS or HIV related causes. It's nasty, but reasonably short lived and now with the proper drug therapy can be held in check.

The Black Death wiped out anywhere from 100-200 million people. This decimated Europe and reduced the world population by about 40%. The Plague (of which there were 3) generally refers to the Black Death or the Bubonic Plague

Only about 75 million people died from the Bubonic Plague. I, however, also misquoted the numbers.
