silly gay fantasy

This movie is just silly gay fetish fantasy about skinheads. totally inaccurate depiction of what these kind of people are about, and how they react. If you are in a group like this, your first concern will be political, certainly NOT erotic or romantic! The two main characters were WAY too soft to be believable; they really looked like 2 gay men playing soldier dress up. In one scene you have a Nationalist skinhead beating up a gay guy almost to death, then 20 minutes later he is getting all sappy over a different man. it's like as soon as these 2 guys meet eachother, all the testosterone vanishes from their bodies and they become "really gay." I was insulted by the stupidity of the whole thing. Being a former member of a group like the one portrayed i can tell you that "gangs" like this put nothing over friendship and bonds with their mates. Even their girlfriends are a low priority, usually kept in the background. I mean after "Brokeback mountain' did we really need the SAME drivel about macho guys falling in love? I think it's harmful to the gay community to perpetuate this image that "gay" equals "persecuted freak." Gay films that focus on gays being beaten, brutalized, and killed because of their sexual preference is very negative. This is where most gay-themed films fail. If you want to see a good film, check out "Burnt Money." It's a story about a band of violent bank robbers circa 1950's. Oh yeah, and two of them just happen to be lovers. They don't make a big deal about it. It just happens to be the case, and it is not the center of the story. These "victimized gay" films are a waste of time and very silly in this day and age.
