I dislike these people

Very sad story - but on another level I personally find it insufferable to watch because I live in NYC and this is also a snapshot of a very specific-to-NY (and LA) upper middle class family - that is the art/filmmaking upper upper middle class family. All very PS 11 / York Prep / Nantucket / Hawaii / Theatre Camp. The kind of entitlement that these people have is unrivaled. The epitome of this entitlement: The shrink at wellspring inadvertantly summarized it well: He thought the neighbor had been 'unfair' for pressing charges when Evan BROKE INTO his house. The anonymous neighbor was Just about the only person in this film who is spoken of negatively. Undoubtedly left in the film so the parents could communicate that sentiment to the neighbor at wellspring. This is a very annoying subsection of the
almost-rich. I don't feel like writing a term paper, so I'll leave it at that.
