The Cast Looks Nothing Like

Their Characters in the Cartoon.

Every time I watch this stupidity I am struck with how sucky the cast is and how little they look like their corresponding characters in the cartoon. "Ben" looks like he's being played by some twenty-year-old midget, Gwen is butt-ugly, Kevin looks like a wuss whereas in the series he is pretty muscular. Grandpa Barry Corbin looks old as hell and like he's about ready to croak. Grandpa in the series looks a lot healthier, save for being fat. Plus Corbin's wig looks like it belongs on some eighty-year-old Queen. IMO this movie's cast was one of the worst ever.

I think the guys who play Ben and Kevin comes close. Adding alittle more color to their costumes would've help. The chick as Gwen wasn't bad, just needed to be older and get some sun.

You don't watch all that many movies do ya?

I wasn't wild about Barry Corbin as Grandpa Max but I thought the other three were well cast, paricularly Ben & Kevin. Gwen didn't necessarily look the part imo but the actress did well; Ben really looked like his cartoon counterpart; and Kevin, although not as muscular or macho looking as cartoon Kev, captured the character's personality and nuances as well as anyone could have IMO.
