Anybody else sick of people whining about the chat system?

Probably a minor thing to most but when people ask on social media for game recommendations and you mention DCUO, inevitably you hear incessant whining about how the chat system is terrible and it seems to go on for several paragraphs. Maybe this isn't everybody's experience, but I read it so much it just boggles my mind.

The game does have a less user friendly chat than most and when it first came out, it was pretty terrible, but how could this possibly be so important? I can't imagine why game play, response, graphics, camera, interface, and a myriad of other things wouldn't be much more worthy of discussion. I certainly don't care if somebody mentions it within its reasonable perspective, but the prevalence of the issue in the minds of people and the way discussion of it dominates when you are trying to get old friends to try it (like on City of Heroes boards for folks looking to replace the defunct game) has gotten on my nerves. I wonder if this is just something endemic to CoH or if this is a common topic when the game is brought up.
