Even though Keith wasn't the Physically abusive type towards Beth and Ben, but I wonder if he was emotionally abusive towards her since he would constantly put her down until she finally stood up for herself.
shareNot read the book but yeah, from the movie it seemed he was clearly portrayed as emotionally abusive at the very least and to be honest, he looked like he was on the edge of flipping out and getting violent most of the time. He was certainly 'his father's son' with exactly the same attitude and quiet little put-downs that can destroy a person over time.

In both the book and the movie Keith was extremely mentally abusive, even going as far as physically abusive by forcing her to stay when Logan insisted he "let go." Emotional and Mental abuse are normally a form of manipulation but it's important to recognize before it evolves further... It will get worse.
