Long battle...?

The last battle of the film was way too long for its own good. I usually like war epics, but this one dragged out - lost interested after a while as I got tired to see people die... Anyone else agrees?

The good thing is that the battles were different compared to Hollywood's style, different tactics and such. It was neat!

I agree. At first, I was waiting for a war scene to appear so I assumed they were saving one epic battle in the end and they did. It ran for like 40 minutes, but I thought "overkill" when I saw it. Haha, I was exhausted by the end of it. Still, the battle scenes are pretty unique and impressive.

I didn't time it or anything like that, but I would have thought there was less overall fighting in Part 2, than Part 1. I guess John Woo wanted to emphasise the final battle, as it was THE battle of Red Cliff.🐭
