omg that huge girl that has max

she epitomizes everything I hate
some hugely fat ugly chick who believes she is entitled to everything she wants because "she has had a rough time in life"

god just watching her talk I felt like tracking her down
that guy Victor showed AMAZING restraint in not going over to her house and really give her a "rough time"

she was unbelievable
I can't believe people like that exist

Her weight has nothing to do with anything - someone who is thin can be JUST as self entitled and self absorbed. That said, I too was shouting, "You selfish whore!" as I was watching her in the beginning.

She did give the dog back in the end and that's what counts. What we saw was her struggle to come to her decision. It is no small matter to give up an animal that you've come to love. So good for her for making the right decision, even if it took her awhile to come around.

Good to know he got his dog back. I actually turned off the movie shortly after that because I was so angry/upset over her selfishness.

People like you are the reason I prefer my dogs and cats to humans. What does her weight have to do with anything?? Tiffany bonded with Max and because of the emotional turmoil she'd been through Max gave her joy and happiness. I admit when I first saw her (in another movie) I disliked her as well but understood how hard it would be for me to give up an animal that had become part of my family. The guilty party was the shelter that allowed them to ADOPT Max instead of asking them to foster him.

Tiffany & Jeremy eventually returned Max, as the movie clearly shows. In the end that is what matters.

Katrina devastated my city and New Orleans may never be the same. One positive result was the nation realized people in such situations HAD FEW OR NO OPTIONS to evacuate with their pets. Now we do have options. Before Katrina no hotel, shelter, or any rescue facility allowed pets.

In 2008 I assisted with the pet-friendly evacuation when hurricane Gustav threatened the city. Hundreds of people stood outside in the sweltering sun for hours to register their pets and evacuate, knowing they would not lose another non-human family member again. Most had dogs and cats but there were a few snakes, rabbits, gerbils, birds, etc. The next time an evacuation is necessary I will be there again.

Thanks, Robert. Anyone with a pet thanks you big time!

I was irritated with her as well during the middle of the film and thought she was selfish but it's the resolution that counts and her decision in the end.

I didn't like her much either. The original owners should get their pets back. And for the others, i'm sure madsic is calling her names because they are upset as i was when i saw it.

If i had adopted a pet, and months later come to find out their owners were trying desperately to get him/her back, i would give that pet up. I know it would be hard... but its the right thing to do. Hurricane Katrina victims lost everything... and your going to take one of their family members as well?

I was more upset and the lawyer guy that was defending the family about the gsd. Talking about how the owner must have not cared to even take them with, didn't care for the dog (worms), and for that simple fact means they have no right to the dog. I wanted to scream at him. They were not allowed to take their dogs with them. And guess what? My family loves our dogs, occasionally they get worms. We treat them, but what if they got the worms during/after rescue? How "bad" the dog looked when they got him, doesn't mean that the dog looked like that before katrina.

I was very upset with Max's adoptive mom as well. She may have been through a rough patch in her life, but it didn't seem to occur to her that Max's dad had been through so much worse.

Not only did this woman have a family, she looked like she lived a pretty comfortable life. She looked like she had a loving husband, another dog, a child who was not hers but who she was raising, and a nice little house. It was pretty evident that Max was all Victor had, and yet this woman felt entitled to him as well.

she was selfish I am glad she gave him back. It would be hard to give up a dog that you fell in love with.
