30 out the 41 votes cast so far have given this 10/10 so I'll disregard this one. And to you production team/actor shills stop ruining IMDB and let real feedback come in. If you're any good the figures won't lie, unlike the way they do now which suggests you need all the help you can get with the ratings on this production. Pathetic. I give it 1/10 out of spite just to balance it out a bit and suggest others do too. It's time to kill off shilling on IMDB!

shareOK, I finally succumbed to curiosity (and a lack of anything better to do) and decided to give this one a chance, and you know what? It wasn't that bad IMHO. In fact I enjoyed it, particularly the 1st 45 minutes or so when it was fast-paced and had several moments of genuine "edge-of-your-seat" suspense which was helped along by a great score. The acting from the main characters (mother & daughter) was above average and I thought the movie was incredibly well shot. I did think it lost its edge in the 2nd half of the movie after all that was going on was revealed but it still held my interest until the end.
After seeing the ridiculous amounts of 10/10's I thought I was in for yet another terrible B-Movie but this one wasn't and I'd say is worth a watch for sure.
So after my initial reservations I'll revise my score on this one to a genuine 6.5/10 which I think it'll average on its own merits once a lot more honest ratings come in. It's a pity this shilling goes on as it usually sends me fleeing from watching a movie or any others involving that production team so again I ask that they stop doing this and allow the viewers to decide for themselves what score a film deserves, which again in my case is 6.5/10
Your lives must be really sad if something like this (if it's true) gets to you. I bet you never even bothered to watch the movie you sad excuse for a human being! Just because people voted 10 it means the votes are fixed and the movie is crap? What about the people who voted 9 and 8 which is still a decent score are they fixers too? Not very clever are you?

A HORROR movie with 41 votes, of which 30 are a 10, and you think that those were honest votes by people who had nothing to do with the production of the film, who had simply watched the movie and loved it soooo much that it deserved a 10? Ho many times have you seen a horror movie which deserved a 10? I personally have never seen one in my entire life, and I've seen hundreds of horror movies in the past 20 years.

@mickey blue1976: You gave this an honest 9? Goodfellas was a 9, The Godfather was a 9. If you gave this a 9 then you are OBVIOUSLY one of the fixers that dropped it a notch to avoid looking spurious or you have absolutely no barometer on good cinema, either way you're opinion is totally voided.

I haven't seen the film yet, so I came here to check it out. But reading this...I would never have given the Godfather or Goodfellas a rating. Especially not a high one. I rate on watchability. I would watch a horror movie, almost any horror movie ten times before I'd watch one of those again. I mean they were good films and that's all well and good, but my preference is for horror, so basically, if Micky blue wants to give this a 9 cause he would watch it often, then I can see his point.
I'm gonna reserve rating until I see the film though...not gonna jump to conclusions.

As for watching this movie.... since it's average rating fell to a 3.6, I think I'll wait until I've ran out of options.
Giving 1/10 ratings out of spite doesn't "balance it out". It just makes the problem worse. You complain about the 10/10 shills, yet you're the other side of the equation. Both of you types combined are the reason the majority of votes on a film tend to be 1 or 10. It's idiotic.
