Compared with some of the Mega-budget releases of late...

I think this did well!

Seeing how far the Horror/Sci-fi genre of movies has fallen with the crap on the SyFy network...

...it was nice to see a decently crafted effort making an honest attempt at serving up some thoughtful chills.

I was more than a little UNimpressed with THE CONJURING, and even MAMA...along with a few others touted as the newest "must sees"...gifted as they were with BIG budgets.

*Personally, I'm beginning to enjoy being pleasantly surprised by the "little guys".*

LAKE MUNGO, MONSTERS, THE TUNNEL MOVIE, EXORCISMUS, DEVIL, THE CALLER, EUROPA REPORT, MOON...

...just to name a few of the ones I liked as well, or better, than some which cost as much as ALL the above combined, probably.
