I hate it every time this $h*t happens. I just want to smack people up 'side their heads and say, "What are you thinking? How can this happen?"

It bugs the heck out of me that Dickie Moore can say, "There's nothing inherently wrong with being a child star -- look at me. I'm just fine." You can find exceptions everywhere. But did Haim not have any real friends who could intervene, or anyone like that?

I sometimes think that these people -- from Janis Joplin to Michael Jackson -- genuinely want to die when this happens. It's awful to say, I suppose, but could a person who is fully engaged with life use drugs to such a destructive extent?

Well, I pray (and I don't say that figuratively or frivolously) that God shall heal his spirit and give him peace.
