Favorite part?

What is everyone's favorite part? My favorite is Edward carrying his new wife Bella over the threshold. I love that. So romantic.

Please no sarcasm and no bashing the film.

For BD-1, my favorite part encompassed the complete wedding ceremony -- beginning with Bella, Rosalie and Alice getting ready upstairs in the Cullen house, all the way through Edward and Bella driving away from the reception with Jacob howling in the distance.

Rest in peace, Roger Ebert. You were the best.

Storywise, I liked the transformation sequence. The score playing this ethereal music, whilst Bella goes through this harrowing experience, whilst being unable to show it. I particularly appreciated the quick shot of her thrashing around, but only in her mind, as her body lay still.

I remember the days when Kardashians were just the bad guys on Star Trek!

reply

When Bella on the end opened the eyes. Great cinematography!

There's something wrong with Esther.

I liked seeing Bella in her wedding dress the most and how suddenly sure she seemed when she saw Edward smiling at her at the altar.

I liked too, the scene where she wakes up in the bed after her first night as a married woman.

I thought she was very beautiful in this film.

It so sucks because I watched it on Netflix and only as the credits were rolling and I began looking for Breaking Dawn Part 2 did I realize that Netflix doesn't have that one and I'm going to have to wait until my dvd arrives in the post before I can finish it.

reply

Yeah. I hate when you have to wait for the next novel/film in a book/movie series.

Yeah, nothing worse.

LOL, it never occurred to me that netflix wouldn't have the second part. Somehow, that just isn't right :-(

reply

It's been out long enough that they should have it. Unless the company refuses to allow them to show it so that more DVDs will get sold. 

I've yet to see The Host (2013) air on any satellite channel since it's release on DVD. What's up with that?

I'm in the middle of my Kristen Stewart marathon. I have other films of hers to watch. Did 'The Messengers' last night and am doing 'Equals' tonight.

I have a few others on standby. So, I think I'll survive until Breaking Dawn 2 arrives. Still, it's annoying.

reply

Yes, it is annoying. You lose the momentum, and are torn from the story. Probably should watch part one again and then go straight into 2.
