3d was a total DUD!!

I can see 3d effects when I watch the ads on my PC, but on my DLP TV all it did was make the colors weird.

If people think this is the 3d system used in theaters it will be a disaster for the movie.

You had to have special 3D glasses to view them. Besides, the method used for 3D on television is different than the method used in theaters. The TV does the red/blue thing, but theaters use special silver screens and digital projection; the image is doubled with no color changes, and the glasses are not tinted. Look up "Stereoscopic 3D" on Wikipedia.

I have the glasses, and I know the real movie will use polarized 3d.

The system they used on air failed miserably with my DLP TV.
I could see the 3d effects watching the Ad online with the glasses.
On my TV all that happened was the color were distorted and the image was blurry. I can think of a few reasons why it might not work.
The first would be a mismatch issue between the color wheel and the colors chosen for the glasses, the other is that some of the logic they use to depixelate the signal thought the color fringe was an error and tried to correct it. I have the set configured for the factory default for HD signal processing.
