Liza's chops are gone; Clay could've sung, Rosie shouldn't've; the running gag of talking into Rosie's cleavage was lame; a striptease on a family holiday show??? but at least she was a very good singer; personal jabs at Nancy Grace? I don't like her either, but holiday shows are supposed to be "feel good" not taking digs!; and TOO many fat jokes!

I could not say it any better than the post before me. I was a big Rosie fan, but OMG this train wreck was one of the worst disasters I have ever seen. Bottom line is Rosie is just not funny anymore. I think her anger and rage have taken toll on her humor-she just appears pompous and self righteous. Kathy Griffin was horrific....I detest Nancy Grace, but this was a holiday show? Liza has definitely lost her chops and the constant talking into Rosies boobs was annoying. Harry Connick, Alex Baldwin, Clay Aiken--all talented and wasted on this show. And what is it with Rosie's teeth. They looked like giant Chicklets.
This was Rosie's downfall. I think this girl is finished....Go raise your children Rosie, as your time is show business I think has passed. You have lost your style. I think your afternoon talk show was the best talk show around...Shame your borderline personality killed your career.
I've been waiting for a good...classy variety show of the 60's and 70's. Think, Ed Sullivan, Gary More, Dean Martin and the Queen, Carol Burnett. So why has NBC picked up on the Controversial Queen?
I was willing to give ol' Rosie a try but the whole show was forced, for lack of a better word. The old style fanfares, the Vegas style performances the fake dialogues, the dancing food?......that was great in 1960....but it just doesn't work now. And please.....does she have to continually throw out the fact that she's gay? We know Rosie...we know already. And she was calling this a family show? Grabbing her boobs, talking about her ass, then Jane's strip tease?
Bring back Marie Osmond or even Brooke Shields or somebody that would actually
bring something to the table (maybe cheesy, I know) but a TRUE family show.
I remember when her talk show was done; she told the press that now she doesn't have to be nice anymore. So Rosie? The whole think was fake? Sorry boys and girls but this is not a family show.

No, 60s variety shows didn't have dancing food. They had class acts, with well-produced shows. Good Lord, look at Liza's mother's brief show in the early 60s. "The Judy Garland Show" makes this bomb less relevant that "Hee Haw."
