Already cancelled!

Oh, nevermind, that was just a dream.

I sincerely hope that this show doesn't last. I honestly believe, from the depths of my being, that Rosie O'Donnell should have no place in entertainment.

She is a worthless loudmouth, and I can't believe people keep giving her a stage in which to perform.

The worst kind of out-spoken person, is the one who has absolutely nothing useful to say.

NBC will give it maybe two weeks. It's destined to tank.

I do not understand an "entertainment" world where you cancel My Own Worst Enemy and then give a show to Rosie O'Donnell...on Monday - in PRIME TIME...

11/4 the day racism died YAHOO, the day Capitalism died?....let's hope not, god, let's hope not!

The 26th is a Wed (even says so on IMDB) and I believe this is a onetime only special (during Thanksgiving, NBC sometimes takes a a stab at these specials for big ratings). You republicans need take a chill pill! If it works, they might do one later on but I don't know that it would be a series. That would be costly. Considering just the amount of advertising on NBC, it would almost have to improve on their ratings during a typical Wed.

I don't think this is a political thing. It's an "everyone hates Rosie no matter who they are because she's really annoying" kind of thing. Seriously. From all of the people I've met, there are VERY few who like her, and they all have different political ideologies.

You must defeat Sheng Long to stand a chance.

Pardon me that I got the day wrong, it is still a prime time 8 o'clock show and it is NOT a special, since I heard Rosie on Conan say it was going to be a series in the vein of the Carol Burnett show and who her first episode guests were (Liza Minelli, for one) so...guess we are both wrong...only I'm not going to insult you. (not that there's anything wrong with being a Republican)

We all have different tastes, likes and dislikes, some of you like Rosie (why I don't know, but then you might not understand why I love blue cheese) I don't care for her any longer. It's like her fame went to her head and she started taking herself way tooo seriously.

I was appalled when she was on Conan and started talking about her teenage son in the most intimate manner to millions and millions of strangers. Teenagers are insanely private and I think parading his personal stuff out in public for a few laughs and to try to show she was some kind of great mom, was sickening.

It is a special. She has said so herself in various interviews. There have been talks that IF it is a success they MIGHT consider doing a series later. But, as of now, it was just a one-time special for NBC to air the day before Thanksgiving.

reply

People keep giving her a stage to perform because everytime they have in the past she has gotten multiple Emmy awards and huge ratings.

But those are just facts.

Facts are known to have a liberal bias.

Haha, silly twit. Why the hell are you sound-minded "factual" people trying to turn a non-political thread into a political one? You expect us to believe that "fact" is on your side but it's a tad hard for some people believe that overzealous arrogance and raging hypocrisy can be supported by fact.

reply

Fact: Rosie and Ellen are gay

People like Ellen because, she's funny, a good interviewer, and quick witted.
People dislike Rosie because she THINKS she's funny, loud, and presents poor arguments.

um, people "like" Ellen??? What drugs are YOU on. She's at LEAST as annoying, and equally as untalented. Every time I see that piece of crap tart in that American Express commercial doing that stupid little dance of hers, I cringe for the human race. And no, it has NOTHING to do with the fact that she's a lesbian. It has to do with the fact that she's ANNOYING and unfunny

reply

Perhaps. But at least Ellen doesn't cram her asinine political agenda down everyone's throats. Politics aside, Rosie is just a B I T C H.

reply

Do you really think she wouldn't check with her son before talking about that?

reply

Did you hear it? No, I don't think she talked with her son about it and if she had, I can't imagine any teenage boy who would say it was ok for his mom to talk about him masturbating, to an audience of one, let alone millions of people...but maybe I'm wrong, but having been a mother of a teenage son and a youth worker, I don't think I am.

I agree - Ellen is talented and doesn't throw her life style in our face...and she is very sincere. Rosie is all fake...from her fake smile to her sweet comments to the kids. Fake Fake Fake

Ellen is talented - Rosie is not.

Homosexuality is not a lifestyle.Nobody lives are defined by sex. There is no straight lifestyle and there is no gay lifestyle.I'm a fan of both Ellen and Rosie but how does Rosie throw her sexual orientation in your face?I didn't see her mention it anymore last night than Ellen does on her talks how.

Theres not a gay lifestyle or a straight lifestyle, but there is a bestial lifestyle, huh? Or isnt that a lifestyle?

What are you saying?

reply

BS.

Many persons, particularly celebrities and contestants on reality shows are totally driven by promoting their sexual orientation. It gets media attention, which makes them feel important and meaningful.

In reality, no one really cares about their orientation, and most people are too busy living their lives to notice.

But do NOT tell me that people (particularly Rosie) don't throw their life choices in people's faces - in addition to promoting their personal agendas, they know it gets publicity.

reply

What life choices are you talking about?

Rosie never even talked about her sexual orientation up until the last year of her talk show and long after her very successful movie career ended.

If nobody cares about her sexual orientation than why do people always start a thread about her being a "Fat dyke".There isn't a thread here that doesn't mention her sexual orientation so you could have fooled me.

reply

Cool summary, it really does get to the point.

Thanks!

This will probably get cancelled faster than the Brady Bunch Variety Hour in 1977. And compared to this, the BBVH is more entertaining...
