Who else would have like.....

For the new hobbit films to have had real "orcs" as they did in this ?. For me having a man dressed up as an orc gives a real sense of weight to them that no cgi can seeminly do right. The LOTR movies had a great mix of costumes/makeup and cgi, obviously for the large battles that was the only way you can really do it now.

But i would have prefered an orc leader as we saw in this film (only a bit more intelligent lol), the hobbit cgi ones just dont cut it no matter how much i say to myself "well its not as if orcs are real any way".

My main problem is the size and weight of them if they were real would just crush any human or dwarf flat, the ones in this looked good the main guy was made to look far bigger then the ranger guy, and thus the weight and size of him as he leaned on him showed up well. The new ones are made to look so big its so funny to see a smaller man or elf or dwarf parry there blows, and then with one hit send these huge creatures flying and doing back flips before they die haha.......like i said in the hobbit page, there is just no believable weight to them.

By the way just watched this again, and its still superb for me so much more in the spirit of tolkiens stunning work then the new hobbit movie (of which i did like in large parts) its amazing what they did with the tiny budget.

If they ever did do a silmarillion movie, i would prefer something like a game of thrones big budget tv series as one or even three films would just no be enough would it ?. I reckon it will come about if the books rights are there to buy or use (im not sure), as fantasy is so in right now.

Game of thrones is doing great on the tv, and the lord of the rings and hobbit films on the big screen. Have heard the other day that peter jackon may be making a film series on the silmarillion, i personally hope not as i feel hes a bit to much now days all about throwing in a ton of cgi and set pieces that look more out of a game then what i would like to see
