When you fire your Garand at the Japs, they usually take 2 shots to die. A .30-06 is a bloody big cartridge, and the Japanese are a fairly small people.
But when you fire your BAR, which also uses the .30-06, it only takes one shot to kill the Jap. Why the inconsistency?
I've noticed that too. I also noticed that the Arisaka rifle takes them down in one shot too. All of the semi-auto rifles in the game are under-powered. It is a balance thing, and one of those things I hate about video games. Forget balance and just let em play! Notice that, in real life, there is no "balance" in a real firefight.
