I've watched the first "Largo Winch" on DVD a couple of weeks ago, then I went to the cinema last week to see the sequel.

The thing is, I had never read the comic book and for some reason I wasn't excepting much from this franchise. And frankly I was surprised in a good way!

Of course these are no masterpieces, but I enjoyed them both, especially the 2nd one; less pretentious, definitely more mature and globally with a better rhythm, much better acting and very good action scenes. The storyline is OK and the various locations visited and languages spoken by the characters are really "refreshing". Add a (tiny) pinch of humour and that's easily the best action/adventure movie I have seen in months. Highly recommended.

it was nice to read such good words about LW movies !!! i totally liked the first movie and tomorrow night it will be the sequel's turn...

i really dont believe the hate/low ratings about movies here at imdb...they rate 8 or 9 to crap and 5 or 6 to such entertaining movies and some users follow the fashion !!!

i agree with the OP, i just watched and i think is a very good movie a little bit more entertaining than the first one and the plot is really good, at least is far better than any hollywood nowadays action movies :)

And I with you. I liked the first one but this was a more polished product with a more coherent story and a lot less flashbacks (thankfully) than the first. Good to see Gauthier being used far more effectively in this film and Napakpapha Nakprasitte as Malunaï was a very welcome addition and interesting character. IMO one of those instances where the sequel improves on the original.🐭

Didn't even know these movies were based on comic books but I was very pleasantly surprised when I watched the first movie. It was very refreshing and plot was fairly decent. I am quite amazed that it turned out so well when these "international" action movies often tend to feel quite unrealistic and have either a horribly plot or bad actors.

Sequel was also good though some of the acting took a down turn, but overall also a movie I liked quite a lot.

There are definitely some flaws with these movies, but focusing on the good parts it's a thrilling ride watching them.

Don't assume. It makes an ass out of u and me.

I disagree. This movie was far from good. I have never read to comics so I can't comment on them but I would prefer the first movie over this one anytime. Apparently they spent a lot of money on this movie, but I can't say it is all well spent.
