French or English?

Ok, so I saw the movie, but it was in French. Even Sharon Stone spoke in French/ was dubbed in French, which was very annoying. But in the trailer she spoke in English.

I am asking is there a English version or was it just for the trailer?

What I liked about the first one was that everybody spoke the language they would normally speak and given that some people are multilingual there were no plot holes, that is Largo would speak with some people in French, with others in English and Serbian. So is there a multi language version or is there just French and just English?

You have presumably watched the French version of the movie, the one meant for the domestic market in France, and that's probably why all the English dialogue was dubbed to French. The version I saw, had no dubbing at all, and Sharon Stone spoke English. So, to answer your question, there is an undubbed, multi language version of the movie.

I had the French version too, which was nice cos French is my first language BUT I live in Poland! So that's quite strange...

In the undubbed version does the girl in the car in the begining (Weronika Rosati), the journalist whom Largo saves, speak French or English?

Ok now I've got a question for you: Is there an undubbed version that has English subtitles of either the first OR second movie?

Mine only has French subtitles for the undubbed version; sorry. Then again it's a region 2 dvd; hasn't there been any region 1 release?

Yes.
I liked it better than the dubbed ones. Why anyone, even for domestic markets, would choose dub it into a single language mystifies me. Much of the appeal of the film is the international flavor. When you start dubbing, you lose it all. And you are then left with what amounts to a cookie cutter action film. Decent enough action to be sure.

Yes, there is a multilanguage, "international" version with French, English and probably Thai or Burmese language (and some Bosnian). Everyone speaks with her/his own language. (on Rotten Tomatoes someone said although the plot is in Mianmar, the actors actually speak Thai language - I cannot reassure or deny this, but I am curious about this).

I've seen the multi language version and I sure hope the french bits were good, but the english parts, especially miss stone, were absolutely dreadful. You get better acting from wrestlers.

The producers clearly had an eye on the international market with this film, so there is far more English spoken, whereas in the first there was barely any.🐭

Malunai, the Karen villagers and rebels, the Burmese general all speak Thai in the movie. Largo sometimes speaks English with them and sometimes Thai. In reality the Karen villagers and rebels would speak Karen while the general would speak Burmese. Many of the villagers would be able to speak Burmese as a second language, as it's the official language of Myanmar (and is officially called "Myanmar language" rather than Burmese). The parts of the movie set in Burma were filmed in Thailand with Thai actors, so having everybody speak Thai was probably the easiest way to give Western audiences the idea that Largo learned Burmese and/or Karen.
