Why did the family let their son near her, a killer? That was stupid.

After the whole family saw that this girl turned into a killer, they let the boy, their son, play ball near her, which cost him his life? What were they thinking? That family must be the stupidest in the world. Big booboo by the directors.

And why did they let her outside, and also allow their son to play near her? It made no sense.

The scene with the ball rolling into the street was cliched and predictable. Come on now. There was no reason why that car didn't stop. They usually do. And the boy should have been taught to look both ways before crossing a street. Plus cars do not go that fast in neighborhood roads. Nothing made any sense about that scene. It was horrible to kill off a boy in a totally nonsensical manner.

The Devil did it.

Good answer. I could have done without that scene and been perfectly happy. But hey-gotta have continuity.

Because it was his ball.

Thanks for reminding me of another great comedic moment from the hilarious farce, Exorcismus. Comedy in slow motion doubles the laughs!

I thought that they figured that the boy was in the backyard, and that Emma was in the house.
What was truly stupid was that kid! Why didn't he look before walking into the street? Are we to assume the Devil made him not look? It didn't appear that way.
And the scene seemed to take a long time, so why didn't the mother yell for her son to GET OUT OF THE STREET?!
Cars, sadly, do drive that fast in a residential neighborhood. They drive that fast and even faster on my street.
I thought the brother's death was too cold, even for a film like this! And the father dying too?! It would have been better if the car had come screaming at the brother, everyone is horrified and screaming, and the Devil makes the car stop just before him...and shrieks in laughter.

They were not near each other.

Lol yeah they say the boy is going to live at Sarah's house for his protection and we discover this house is....the one just next to the Evan's house. And of course just separated by a tiny wall. That was an awkward choice. They should have let him live in the Evan's house and then having the accident.

I'm sorry but she would've been locked up in the basement somewhere. They seen her levitate and try to kill the brother and father, but yet they just let her walk around like nothing happened.
