The show Buffy the Vampire Slayer obviously has a huge fan base if we are willing to buy comics to quench our thirst. There is no reason why this animated series shouldn't get picked up some way or another. It will not only make the old fans happy, but new ones. Forget the Buffy movie that has nothing to do with the show, give us this series instead.

Personally I would have rather had both. I like the comics (well up till Dawn landed in a coma, and their saying she could die. If they kill her I'm not reading them anymore).
Season 8 and 9 comics are end of series continuation.
BTVS The Animated Series would not been a season 8 continuation. It was supposed to take place in season 1.
That's why I would rather have both. Have the continuation in the comics plus more episodes of Buffy even though it would have been set in season 1.
Yup! I really liked what I saw and I think in 2013 there needs to be a kick ass action cartoon starring a girl.
