Accents, American Indian and Clorhing

As an Oklahoma I can say the accents were just OK. Streep sounded the most authentic followed by Cumberbatch in my opinion. Mattie Fay and Uncle Charlie sound more Texan than Oklahoman. The worst I think was Juliette Lewis, way too forced. Being half American Indian, the negative comments made by Violet make sense for someone of her age living in Oklahoma. Years ago there was racism in small white towns against Indians. I know this from personal stories from my Daddy and his family. The clothing during that time of the year was way off. Unless you're a little old lady with no body heat, no one in their right mind would wear anything past their elbow much less jeans. Stand outside during the day for more than 10 minutes and you are sweating your head off. So they didn't look near hot enough. Anyway, great movie and cast though. I liked it.
