In any case, yes, Laurie has a rather manly voice but that was a decision the makers made. The decision being, that Tom Stechschulte be the only voice actor for this 12 ep series, including Laurie.
I was off put at first, but you get used to it once you realize it really is only Tom Stechschulte doing all the voices, a la audiobooks, apparently.
Yes, you get used to it after a while and props to Tom Stechschulte he was fantastic. Still thought it was a terrible decision by the makers to only use one voice actor though because let's face it, seeing the female characters speaking in a manly voice is more than a little jarring.

glad ppl agree, it was more than distracting, especially when tom applied this special soft and gentle touch to his voice - very awkward to say the least :)

shareThe live action movie was a lot more distracting with 99 red balloons playing and other out of place pop culture songs. The beautiful score that goes along with motion comic makes this version 100X more enjoyable than the movie
