The Most Liberal Douchebag Cast Ever?

Sean Penn, Ryan Gosling and Josh Brolin???

You know that actors have crossed the line in their personal lives when their politics grow bigger than their roles. They can't escape in to their parts and general audiences take note and vote at the box office.

Personally, I can't believe any real American would ever pay to see another Sean Penn movie after his anti-American treachery. Brolin and Gosling are just ignorant liberal simpletons. If a person were to skip liberal actors, they'd never go to the cinema. They get a pass because stupidity isn't a crime. What Sean Penn did by protesting America on foreign soil and allowing for propaganda against America and our troops in a time of war is unforgettable. One can forgive but NEVER forget.

I hope real Americans remember and decide to boycott this film.

Based on the trailer, at least Sean Penn's character is not a liberal. So you can just root for him and enjoy the movie.

Not everyone let's their politics get in the way of their pleasure

["Not everyone let's their politics get in the way of their pleasure"]

No, just those with principles.

It must suck to be a right winger and know that most of the film and artistic community is of a progressive-left political persuasion.

Perhaps now we can turn to socialism in America. Capitalism is deeply problematic, and doesn't provide enough for the common good or general welfare. We need a left-leaning government powerful and willful enough to rein in corporate outrages and excesses.

America has been going downhill since the presidency of RONZO and the collapse of the Soviet Union. The USSR kept the US (mostly) honest.

I applaud the public stands of those artists that have enough spotlight to make a difference.

Learn to swim socalist scum. You better learn fast.

You are talking about a higher sea level caused by global-warming I presume fascist swine?

reply

This has to be a troll.

reply

Ding ding ding!

reply

Sean Penn is grade A douchebag, but he's a fantastic actor. I can seperate the man from the chracter he is playing in films. Unlike some people here.

reply

Why? For protesting the most unnecessary war in US history?

reply

In your opinion, yes.

Most fair minded people wouldn't have chosen to invade Iraq. But you cannot claim that Iraq under Saddam Hussein was a perfect functional society. Iraq was a menace to the world and particular to it's closest neighbors. So it's ridiculous to put it in definitive terms like you do. It's definitely a good thing that Saddam Hussein and his sons are gone. Nothing is black and white. Nothing is all good or all bad. The war had some good aspects and a lot of bad aspects as well. More bad than good, but not just bad. And you also have take into account that Iraq could be a fairly decent democracy for many years forward. And if you look at it in the perspective of perhaps 100's of years into the future, then the sacrifice might actually be worth it. You can compare it to South Korea today. The Korean war was controversial back then and a horrible violent mess. But I'm pretty sure most South Koreans prefer South Korea over North Korea today.

Iraq was a menace to the world? Are you kidding?

reply

"And you also have take into account that Iraq could be a fairly decent democracy for many years forward."

In what time frame this will happen if I can ask ? If by some miracle there is any democracy in that region with in 200 years it sure as hell can not be attribute to your war in Iraq. Saddams Iraq was *beep* but atleast it was dried up *beep* and so far only thing that US war efforts have done in Iraq is that you have managed to urinated upon that *beep* so now it is wet and soggy *beep* kind of that is harder to clean up and sticks on survaces. You did not leave democratic Iraq when you pulled out you left Iraq in CIVIL WAR.

"And if you look at it in the perspective of perhaps 100's of years into the future, then the sacrifice might actually be worth it."

Then again we might see it then as even bigger f-up that what it seems to be now.

This citizen will inform you that according to the Nuremberg Trials and the Charter of the United Nations, which the U.S.A. is a member, that wars of aggression are illegal which make George W.Bush, Dick Cheney and their henchmen war criminals. If you don't know enough history of your own country to realize that through the decades the U.S., so called God's Country, has preferred to deal with dictators you are thoroughly brainwashed and propagandized. When progressive leaders are elected, the C.I.A. goes in, topples the duly elected government, and installs a military strongman. Ain't the good ol' USA great?

So Sean Penn is a douche for protesting this crap? Hardly, get off the couch and join the movement to save your country.

[" ...the most unnecessary war in US history"]

Another liberal troll who gets his history & Constitutional expertise from those fruits on PBS.

Try reading a book, kid.

Why even try to cut him that slack? How has he earned such a thing? A grade A douchebag deserves contempt.

reply

What on earth are you talking about? Given that Brolin and Gosling will be portraying police officers who go around unlawfully slaying mob members and, I assume will be painted as the heroes of the piece. This is exactly opposed to liberalism I would have thought but I suppose you must have a different definition out there in that America.
So why should people's political persuasions hold any relevance to the quality of an individual film? Meant ostensibly to entertain rather than inform.

reply

WHO GIVES A *beep* WHAT THE ACTORS POLITICAL PREFERENCES ARE! I dont give a *beep* if the cast murders 19 baby seals on a daily basis as long as they perform well in the movie. Cant stand people who let an actors personal life ruin movies for themselves.

Dear Warden, You were right. Salvation lies within.

If he was a good actor I would've watched his movies and enjoyed them.

I vaguely remember Sean Penn saying something stupid about Venezuela but what have Brolin and Gosling done?

"I don't want Fop, Goddammit! I'm a Dapper Dan man!"

reply

Why dwell on the past...

"Personally, I can't believe any real American would ever pay to see another Sean Penn movie after his anti-American treachery."

You're going to say this after Hollywood pushed for laws that completely went in the opposite direction of what America was founded on. "They're still pushing for such laws."

reply

You people care to much about politics it's supposed to be a movie a bout history in crime, not some dumb@$$ political move, or even reference shut the hell up and get a life before coming on here and attacking good, hard working, worth watching actors who look better than you and your whole family combined.
