Possible Carlos/Bin Laden connection

Bin Laden lived in Khartoum from 91-96
Carlos Lived in Khartoum from 91-94

Both are terrorists that sought and refuge and lived in the same city for about 3 years or so. I think it's possible that their paths had crossed at some point. I understand their ideologies varied and someone like Bin Laden would denounce Carlos' lifestyle(smokes, drinks alcohol, anonymous sex etc) but that still doesn't necessarily mean there wasn't a connection.....any thoughts?
