Amazing. Where are the awards?

This movie is amazing. very emotional, very moving.
I rarely like slow dramas, but man I was hooked.
absolutely brilliant.
and the performance of Mel Gibson was stunning. Very powerful and truly sent the message.
Jodie Foster, as always, also gave a great performance.
The directing was really smart too. I'm not an expert, but I felt like it helped.
So my question is, WHERE ARE THE AWARDS
Honestly, I opened IMDb because I wanted to see how many awards this movie won, and I was shocked by the lack of recognition and critical acclaim.
So sad how sometimes great movies are just passed by and no one really gives them enough credit.

It was a great film with superb performances by everyone. I think Mel would have been nominated for Best Actor, but right before the film was released people started hating on him for the tapes his ex released.

This film is really deep; it definitely touches on depression very well. When he has the puppet, he seems fine, then when she had him get rid of it for dinner, his entire personality changes, and one can see and feel it in his great acting abilities.
