Wow, the writing for and the acting by the Cameron character sucks.

The acting by Nicholas Braun here is more akin to Jason Schwartzman in Slackers than Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the film version of 10 Things I Hate About You.

I think he's doing a good job. The only thing that's kind of off is he's so freaking tall.

Yeah, they definitely exaggerated his height difference compared to Michael way too much, but I agree, he's doing an amazing job.

He is gawky and he slouches. I dont like him.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt played Cameron in an endearing, lovable way whereas this Cameron is more pathetic, whiny and so honestly dumb, I don't see how Bianca could see him as more than a friend. The Michael character is worse, he just seems useless and mostly not funny (movie Michael was the opposite).

But in saying that, tv Kat and Pat are so great I will continue to watch just for them.

I can't pinpoint whether it's the writing or the acting, but Cameron just doesn't seem to have any spark to him in the TV version. Joey is more entertaining.

Cameron was my favorite character in the movie. Joseph Gordon-Levitt just created an amazing character that always made me smile. Well maybe it was just Joseph. xD

Cameron is also my favorite in the TV show. Nick Braun and Joseph are playing two COMPLETELY different characters. Nick's character is a bit sweeter because Joseph's did arrange a scheme that caused Patrick to ask Kat out FOR MONEY. TV Cameron wouldn't do that, making them two completely different characters.

Tv Cameron is blinded by puppy love now. I think he'll really develope into an awesome character in the next season when he realizes that Bianca is with Joey and he really doesn't stand a chance at that moment. Once Bianca sees he's backed off from his creepy ways and acts like his true self, they'll become friends again and Bianca will start to realize she's beginning to like him.

So CAMERON FTW!!! In both versions.

Dr. Sheldon Cooper, FTW!

I don't think it's the acting or the writing. It's the fact that everything about the character is unrealistic. Nobody falls in love with a girl after simply saying "hi" to her. His character is unrealistic and nobody can take him seriously. THAT is why the character is annoying.

You could say the exact same thing for the character in the film, played by JGL, so I agree with you. F_ck comparing him to the film. The character itself is unrealistic.

Gypsy: Hey, Tom, I don't get you.
Tom: Nobody does - I'm the wind, baby!

I have a hard time watching him but I also feel bad for him.

I love the guy that plays Cameron ever since I saw him on Disney

I'd call you a tool, but even they serve a purpose.
