Don't listen to the reviews. This is garbage!

Honestly, one of the worst films I've seen this year. I'm not surprised critics are giving this a pass though since it's full of diversity and pro-immigration messages. FIrst off, there is no reason this needed to be 2 1/2 hours. There is barely a story or any character development and it just drags on and on with nothing to get invested in. None of the songs or choreography is memorable at all and it's all over the place in it's style. Also it's one of the most unrealistic portrayals of Washington Heights I've ever seen. They removed any sense of realism or grittiness and it looks way too clean and polished for a movie about an urban community.

If Hamilton hadn't been a thing I can almost gurantee you this would've gotten pretty bad reviews.

You're taking what I said out of context. I said thats the only reason critics are giving it a good review. Critics tend to be heavily left leaning.

That's too bad. I saw it on the stage and thought it was really good, but having the performers just 20 feet away is going to be a different experience right off the bat. Anyway, 2 1/2 hours?! What's up with that?

I didn't think it was garbage.
I enjoyed it, it was a little fun mindless movie.
I didn't feel the 2 1/2 hours.

I don't know who this movie is made for, but it's not made for people from Washington Heights.
