The Worst Movie of 2010!!!

This movie was not funny. It kind of reminded me of a diet soda where all the good stuff, like the laughs, had been taken out. It had a nice foundation and actors who could have pulled it off, but it fell short. Chris Rock seemed robotic and not his animated self. Maybe they weren't allowed to deviate from the script, or improvise. Luke Wilson, this dude needs to get back on track. He looks like Beau Bridges and that's just not funny. Martin Lawrence played R. Kelly in this movie and that was pretty creepy. Almost 18 is gross and illegal. Danny Glover had no funny lines. It's sad when the only funny line you have is not a line at all, but when you defecate all over someone. Some many things went wrong with this one. Watching Tracy Morgan gave a glimpse at who he would have been in real life had his comedy career not panned out and he went into selling life insurance. We only want to see Tracy Morgan play Tracy Morgan. I challenge you to find a worse movie in 2010

There are other candidates. I'm afraid this won't even make "The Razzies"

That said. It did put me to sleep. It's not very funny.

You missed a lot of movies in 2010 then!

There are stinkers every year, but none worse than this. Challenge: Find one worse from 2010.

The year is only 2/3 over. Vampires Suck isn't even out yet (from the makers of Epic Movie and Meet the Spartans; see trailer below). Grown Ups, Shrek 4, When In Rome and the Spy Next Door were all far worse. I'm sure Tooth Fairy and Dear John are also pretty bad.

You all need to watch more movies. There are ones far worse than these.

From 2010? Those are already pretty awful. You want us to find and watch even worse on purpose?
Or are you considering movies that only you, personally, believe are bad? Like you think some of the worst movies of the year are Inception and Toy Story 3.

No. I just watch everything. And there are tons worse than Shrek 4, Dear John, etc. Like I listed.

Why would you suggest people to watch more stuff which a person can tell immediately that it sucks? You can't expect someone to have a broad knowledge of crap films and go see bad cinema on purpose.

Killers, Furry Vengeance, Back-Up Plan and Last Airbender were a given, so I didn't see them, nor did most people I know. They're so easy, they don't even come to mind immediately. I've seen clips or started to watch some of them online, but otherwise, they didn't get my attention.

Some of the movies you mentioned were actually reviewed decently. You might personally think it's the worst movie of the year of the ones you've seen. But then again, that's a limited group isn't it?

With the exception of The Tooth Fairy, every movie you listed was reviewed better than Death at a Funeral. Are they really *far worse* as you described them? I guess that's opinion.

As to the bold....why not? I'd be more interested in hearing someones opionion who has seen many, many movies rather than just a few. Bad or not.

I happen to think Twilight is mediocre at best (wretched at worst), yet its one of the top grossing films of the year. That interests me.

False. Of all the movies I saw and listed, only one is higher on the Rotten Tomatoes tomatometer: Shrek 4. The rest are all under 20% positive reviews. Dear John is 23% but I didn't see it. Death at a Funeral is 38%.

It's a limited group because I mostly listed films I saw and can vouch for that are bad. I know it gets worse - I'm sure Killers and Back-Up Plan suck - but that doesn't mean I must see them to say they are. I'll take your word for it. What are we even arguing about? We both seem to agree there are far worse films than Death at a Funeral; you've just seen more crap than I. As you said, you just see everything. We don't both have to have seen every movie that came out this year to know D@aF isn't that bad.

I guess it depends on which website you use. Or which review you prefer.

It's not false on this website. Are IMDBs ratings much worse than Rotten Tomatoes? Top Critics? Or the Community Review?

Again, what makes them *so much worse* as you described them. That's hardly the case. If you look at say "The Last Airbender" what did that have (If we're going by the net RT rating)?

Or maybe we can look at Box Office, most of those movies did better than Death at a Funeral.

For me reviews do give me an idea of what I might like to see, but definitely not my final opinion of the movies. I really see so many for the feeling you get the first time you find something that blows you away. I just love movies.

Killers, The Last Song, The Back-Up Plan, Furry Vengeance, MacGruber, Jonah Hex, The Last Airbender.

reply

The Runaways (All over the place and boring as h e double hockey sticks)
Clash of the Titans (DAAF was boring but Clash was terribly produced and way overhyped)
The Bounty Hunter
Our Family Wedding

DAAF was boring and a waste of time but it had one or two funny moments that save it from being worse than the films I just listed.

The Wire 10/10
Breaking Bad 9/10
Dexter 9/10
