They changed it from a serial killer story to an indictment of White oppression.

The focus of this version is how Dahmer was an evil White man who represents all White people.

Was looking forward to watching this but now I’m not sure. Watching anything made after 2015 is always a gamble that you’ll be inundated with hamfisted ‘progressive’ propaganda.

reply

Yeah. I was looking forward to it as well, but I'm going to pass. I'm not interested in being equated to Jeffrey Dahmer for ten+ hours just because we shared the same skin tone.

reply

OMG. You haven't even watched it, have you???The focus is on Dahmer's lifelong weirdness , better than any other portrayal I've seen

This review tells me all I need to know without watching it.

"I wasn’t sure we really needed yet another story about a serial killer. However, already from watching the trailer, it became clear that this is a different take on the story. An important take. Jeffrey Dahmer knew how to work both male, white privilege, and the fact that even saying “gay” made the cops retract immediately.

So, do we need another Jeffrey Dahmer story? Maybe not in general, but we certainly need this one!

If you’re familiar with the cold hard facts of his infamous murders as a serial killer, you will also know that he could easily have been stopped. This series shines a spotlight on the fact that there is certainly one huge reason most serial killers are white and male. Because they can get away with so much more than anyone else!"

So basically, I will get ten hours worth of "Dahmer was WHITE! He was WHITE! He had PRIVILEGE that you share if you are WHITE! Feel GUILT and SHAME because you and Dahmer are WHITE!"

No thanks. BTW the reason there are more white serial killers is that there are more whites in the population. Statistically, the numbers work out to about the same percentages. And since about 2000, It seems like a larger number have been black.

Well, there was an instance where Dahmer talked the cops of saving some poor immigrant boy's life, after talking to the respectable-looking white guy the cops left this poor 14-year-old kid behind, and Dahmer killed him and had fun with the body parts. So yes, in real life Dahmer actually did use "white privilege" to get away with another murder, as well as middle-class privilege and native English-speaker privilege. I

Of course the Wokies overstate the value of white etc. privilege, because obviously being white, middle-class, or a native speaker everything they want in life, but in this case it was enough to get the cops to leave a terrified 14-year-old alone with a serial killer. It's too bad if you can't cope with that reality, but if you can't, and freak out like this every time you hear the words "white" and "privilege" together, then you've got no right to call anyone else a "snowflake"!

It's more that I just refuse to play this stupid game they are playing anymore. They can make a thousand movies and shows to "teach" me about how my skin color makes me an oppressor, or unjustly privileged or whatever, but I'm just not interested in hearing it again. I won't watch it. And I'll spread the word about these shows as best as I can to people who may not be interested in shaming for entertainment, either.

I guess these shows are better than the alternative, though. If it wasn't for NetFlix and Amazon being around to broadcast their lessons, maybe the Leftists would feel it necessary to build Reeducation Camps like they did in Russia, China, Cuba, Cambodia and Korea.

Snowflake!

Keep calling me that. You'll get bored sooner or later.

reply

Sure, Snowflake.

Ignore the racist and keep up the good work!

reply

Hats off to you, whynotwriteme. It boggles the mind how any self-respecting white person would happily slurp up the hateful, racist narratives being peddled by woke filmmakers.

reply

Thanks for the heads up. I had been looking forward to this but I'll probably give it a pass now.

reply

No problem. I am a big True Crime fan, too and this is a letdown. If you''re really curious about it, make sure to watch it in some way that won't count as ratings for them or earn them any extra money.

reply

Finding a good show without agenda is becoming more and more difficult :-(

reply

They basically no longer exist. My advice to you is to build a collection of older DVDs or video files to entertain yourself before the studios remove them from circulation.

reply

I'll definitely give it a pass.
Stop peddling woke garbage, I'm not interested in your wares.
