This movie did to 30 Days of Night what Highlander II did to the original. The sequel contradicted every single facet of the original story. A short list of aspects from movies that were unabashedly ripped off, just to put this half assed attempt at a story together: Blade I, II & III, Aliens, Supernatural, The Howling, Fright Night, Marathon Man, The Matrix, Interview with the Vampire, etc. A singularly money grabbing load of tripe.

Rip off of Blade (as posted above) and Underworld along with so many others. So many plot holes, so many inconsistancies, and so many flaws.
Not the biggest flaw, but one I want to mention is reviving the husband. If he wasn't still a vampire he would not be able to come alive. If he did because he was a vampire, he would kill her, which is what he did. Also, when he originally died his ashes blew away in the wind. At the end his corpse was intact.
Also, why was she able to leave the ship?!?! If you killed my queen I'd try to kill your ass.
Plus did anyone notice that half the movie was silent!!!

Not to defend this loathsome abomination of a film, but I need to point of a few things.
1) At the end of the first film his body remains mostly intact – there's just a little ashes that is taken by the wind. - At the end of the first graphic novel however, his body is completely turned to dust.
2) Like in the first move, after the head vampire is killed, it's slayer is seemingly allowed to take his position as the leader if he/she wants to.
I totally agree with TuathaDeDannan . Those who havnt seen it..pls dont...its a sheer waste of time. A bull load of *beep* wat it is.....The first part was so kewl.... and was a totally different to the gay vampire movies tht are comin out ths days....bt the sequel...is js crap!!!!Thank god...Josh hartnett aint in it....

shareI wish I had read this post earlier. It was so bad I couldn't even have a good time making fun of it. The characters were idiots. Who in their right mind would walk into a vampire's nest with only a few guns (with normal bullets) and some flashlights? Especially right after the stupid black dude from Lost cuts his hand. Vampires smell blood, dumbass! I knew that guy was going to be the first to die.

shareI agree, this is such a let-down after the first excellent movie. This band of humans was SO unprepared, how did they ever survive so long! Then they go in with C4 and and one girl yells "where's the detonator". Someone else says "I don't know". Almost funny. Completely lame.
sharei tivo'd it on A@E (or some channel). didn't have high expectations...but this movie managed to go far beneath them. pitiful - literally has nothing to do with it's supposed precursor.
sharei didn't wanna read too many spoilers as I JUST finished 30 Days and wanted to follow up with the sequel...looks like its BAD! I'll watch anyway, but with MUCH LOWER expectations...then again, this was made for DVD, so that already brings it a notch below the original.
Not to mention the original is a tough cookie to top! gave it a 8/10! No lie!
