|Cannes screening review

Just seen The Reef at Cannes market, knowing nothing about it and thought it was fantastic. Filled with tension and great shocks. The shark attacks were shocking and realistic and great fx work.

I guess my main grumble would be its likeness to Open Water. It's very similar- based on true events but the big difference is the size of the shark! Great film no less. Hope it gets a UK release.

Thats awasome! What did the others think?

Hey, thanks for that! I have been waiting for some news about this movie. Would you mind giving some more details about the shark attacks and the fx work? I know that they filmed real sharks. But you clearly said FX. Where there CGI sharks in there or just something in between?
Also, the shark attacks in Open Water where nothing big. You never really see the sharks attacking them. What about The Reef? Did they manage to create some footage or was it just people getting dragged underwater and then blood surfaces stuff??
It would be so great if you will answer this!

`How do you know I'm mad?´
`You must be or you wouldn't have come here.´
