Warren

What the heck is it with this director? He shows no love for the guides an any of these movies. In Black Water, Jim had a bit part but at least played a signifigant role at the end of the movie.

In The Reef, we're given a mere sentence hinting that his boat eventually sunk and he was eaten. But why not show us? I was left wondering the whole time what happened to that guy? Would have been cool to have him either A)Survive, or B) actually have an on screen death.

coz no one really knows... the only survivor, the lady, can't tell you what happened, she wasnt with him... prob from dehydration. in the hot sun 2 days without water before your dead.

I agree it was a little strange that Warren's fate wasn't shown. When they were debating whether to swim for it, I thought if I had been there I would have stayed with the boat (and the e-perb).So Warren was the character I idntified with most. I felt a bit robbed, therefore, that we didn't see what happened to him. Like you, I kept waiting for them to cut back to him

Also, I think its probably worse to die alone - at least the others had company. Not much comfort, I know but at least they had someone to hold on to.

It's a good movie, this. I got it on skymovies and have watched it 3 times now in 24 hrs. I dont usually do that but I really like this film and keep wanting to see it again.

3 times in 24 hours?

it was an average to decent movie. the attacks looked cool. but, it was no better than the second jaws movie, in fact probably not even as good as jaws II.

honestly, dude, get out off the computer.

Comparing it to Jaws 2 isn't fair. That was only cool because it had Chief Brody, divers finding the Orca in the begging and getting eaten, and the chick who jumped in the water getting eaten alive in Jaws' mouth because she couldn't get up on the boat quick enough.

I think you've got to give the director credit for sticking to the supposed events. the survivor wouldn't have known what happened to warren.

"Damn good coffee...and hot!"

In the real events I don't think there was a Warren; I'm pretty sure it was just three people, 2 were eaten and one made it to the big reef and was rescued. The director should have taken creative liberties and given Warren a death scene; or at least after the boat was out of sight off the horizon have the three characters in the water hear a horrific, ear-splitting scream echo across the water, a death scream that is primeval and is abrubtly cut short (as he's drug under water to his death offscreen).
