This movie has its flaws, but I found it very interesting and well-acted. Jeremy Irons is amazing, and Joan Allen does extremely well with an,at-times, unsatisfyingly-written role. Well-worth watching!

shareI agree with your stance on the role being "unsatisfyingly-written". For a bio-pic, we sure missed out on the full life of O'Keeffe.

I saw this movie and loved it and I know she went through a lot with this husband. Really how could could he push the other woman in front of Georgia and then since he didnt want children with Georgia he gets the other woman pregnant and akes her everywhere he goes and expects Georgia to endure this situation. I was glad the brother was so good to Georgia when she had the breakdown and understood perfectly that his brother was dANGEROUS TO gEORGIA. I really felt for her
According to Wikipedia, the father of the mistress' child was her own husband, but the movie does make it sound like Alfred was the father.
shareI generally like to watch Jeremy Irons. But I didn't really get into his character in this one. No less, the acting by the two leads was good all the same.
I appreciate that Georgia O'Keeffe was an important artist. I would have liked to have seen a medium length documentary about her. I don't think that her life was eventful enough to warrant a biopic. The lack of events limited my interest in this as a movie.
