"Found footage" films are so dumb

Especially when the director can't be bothered to do it right. I just turned this movie on in the middle of it and immediately saw a scene in which the camera angle changes multiple times in the middle of a continuous conversation. I would think that a filmmaker, of all people, would realize how much extra work and equipment that it takes to film the same scene with two different angles and cut it all together, and why that makes no sense in a film that is supposedly real footage shot with a single camera. If you're going to do stuff like that, then you might as well abandon the "found footage" angle. Likewise, when all of the footage is neatly edited into a contiguous story, like any other movie, then it also doesn't work. In essence, the filmmaker is adding a shaky camera and blurry focus for absolutely no reason at all, which only serves to degrade the quality of the movie.

'Paranormal Activity' was ridiculously boring and stupid as hell, but at least they kept the editing mistakes to a minimum. The way that this movie is shot is just plain stupid.

You turned it on halfway so you missed the point. This isn't found footage. It's just how it's shot hence the different angles and music.

If you don't like them don't watch them. That'd be my solid advice.
