In fact they have gone to places where this supposedly happens regularly. What did they do? They show up at midnight in pitch darkness. Makes sense to me.

The only investigation I have seen during daylight hours was on Most Haunted when they did 30 East Drive Pt1.
The other thing I don't get is why none of the paramormal shows ever give the rational reason for feeling paralysed and of something heavy pressing on top of you when you are in bed. A little hint, it's not dead people doing it.

Always thought that myself. I know some will say it's quieter at night and less contamination. But the other reason would be it adds a creepier feel to the show and also helps hide all the ropes and other stuff they set up...
Even on Nick's show Paranormal Lockdown where they are investigating for 72 hours most of it is still done at night.
Sometimes a movie or tv show plot is so stupid that only the stupid can understand it.
