Christian Judgement and Guilt

I felt some of the work the Interruptors did could be traced back to a Christian belief system where passing judgement and laying guilt on youth was a tactic to bring about change. To me, this is a form of child abuse. To *beep* all over youth who are are (psychologically) already covered in *beep* just wrong. It's like the Interruptors got stuck at times as to what they should do, so they fell back on their Christian teachings of judging and placing guilt. That is not what the young people in these communities need. They need love, compassion, help and to be treated fairly and justly. They deserve to have all their basic needs met, something which is clearly not happening. You can't expect people to build a big life when they don't have the supplies or the necessary abilities. I admire the Interruptors for their incredible work, but when they chose "tough love" as a tactic, I felt they went off track. They went from helping to oppressing at times. It was disappointing to see this when it happened.
