Way better than its rating suggests

This movie wasn't flawless but they were several scenes and characters that made the movie worth watching. Jenna Fisher was fantastic. She wears the worst clothes throughout the whole movies but still manages to be adorable and sexy. She was like the coolest milf. Some of the pointless fights with her kids were very realistic compared to your average movie. Loved the scenes with the sleezy lawyer too. I must admit that I never payed too much attention to this actor until now but he did a great job. The controlling mother-in-law character is also quite accurate as far as some mothers-in-law are concerned.

My explanation for the low rating is that some people may have watched the movie after seeing the office and expected Jenna Fisher to play a similar character (I don't watch this show but that would be my guess). This is not a comedy per say and isn't your typical hollywood/Sandra Bullock type of story. It's got an edge. On the other hand, people who might be interested in this movie probably won't watch it because it's advertised as your typical rom-com.
