I am trying to figure out your logic. Movies about poor brats with responsible parents> movies with spoiled brats with irresponsible parents? Just because you don't relate to a movie doesn't make it bad. Actually, the characters and dialogues in this movie are actually much more realistic than your typical hollywood movie.
shareYou're right, there's definitely a white whine here; Hollywood really disproportionately portrays white people and the existence of Tyler Perry doesn't prove that there's equal representation.
BUT - do we need more movies about middle aged women and their problems? Sure. I think this group is still underrepresented. Of course, they still have to cast someone like Jenna Fischer so that some men (like my husband) would actually watch it 'coz they think she's a hottie.

She's 37. You can quibble about the label, but the point is, mature adulthood - i.e., settled. That was my point. Not a love story of 20 somethings.
