great brit movie ...... shame about the 2 male leads

I really enjoyed this movie, the female leads were absolutey great, notably Goldy Notay who performed the spectrum of light and shades of the comedy darkness.... but I really felt the movie was let down by the clunky acting from Sendhil Ramamurthy (who looked totally gorgeous never seen such white teeth) and even worse the performance from Jimi Mistry. They seemed in a inferior league to the rest of the cast...... sorry guys.
But certainly a film well worth enjoying and will recommend it.

I agree that the female leads were good but disagree with you about the male leads. Sendhil Ramamurthy was gorgeous and charming in a role that was very underwritten and Jimi Mistry barely had anything to do so i fail to see how you think his performance was bad. I disagree that the movie was good. i found it silly, derivative and very poorly written and edited. The cast elevated a very bad film to a mediocre film in my opinion.

Yes, I concur with what the TS said. Sendhil was a letdown. After watching him acted so well in Heroes, it is frustrating to see him not being able to do the same in this film.

I don't think that one can blame Sendhil Ramamurthy's acting on the failure of this role in coming across onscreen, but in the writing of the character's storyline. Typically--as in, in my opinion, this case--the failure of the "juiciness" of a character or a character's storyline or usage has to do with the writing, not in how the part is acted (provided, of course, that a qualified and talented artist has landed the role). In this case, Sendhil Ramamurthy had the role, and he has proven time and again to be a very talented young actor. Perhaps the acting was not the problem...?
