Huge Logical Fallacies Presented By Deregulation and Augments

I think the Canadian developers don't quiet understand what the government regulation is really about and somehow think that restrictions are teh evil.

Absolute freedom is no better than Anarchy, but regulation and rules don't require a bunch of ultra-rich cultists/politicians to keep people in check.

The whole concept and process of augmentation as shown in the Deus Ex universe is just too extreme to ever happen in the near future. We barely even have usable exosuits at the moment. Insurance companies and employers would not be happy with people wanting their limbs or eyes cut out in order to receive supposedly better mechanical/electronic ones. The whole aesthetic design is a big problem too, much like overdone piercings and tattoos they can't be hidden.
Plus making the electronics interference-proof would add millions to already insane production costs if such a thing existed. If a microwave screws up my digital cable a whole story above me, then whats the chance that someones eye-implant won't go crazy?

The biggest obstacle however is that fact that less than 2% of people are open to the idea of cutting off body parts. The ones who do however usually have a mental illness that makes them believe they'd be better disabled or without a limb.
