Voice of Adam Jensen

So am I the only one that every time you heard Adam speak totally thought it was Tim Olyphant? Every time he spoke all I could hear and see was Tim from the show Justified. Not only the voice but he looks so much like Tim as well. Maybe when they do the Deus Ex movie they'll get Tim to be the lead.

reply

yeah, I only hear olyphant too, never seen justified though, I only remember him from deadwood

"Government is not a solution to our problem, government is the problem."

reply

Deadwood may just be my favorite show ever. Definitley the best casting and writing I've ever witnessed. Damn shame it got canned before they finished it.

Were you drunk Mr. Hurst!

reply

The first ones that came to my mind were Michael Madsen and Alec Baldwin. Timothy didn't cross my mind though.
Love Deadwood too BTW !!!

reply

Haha! I was playing through Deus Ex as well, and I was like "Oh cool Timothy Olyphant is doing this dudes voice." I came to look it up and it was this guy. I was kind of surprised.

I can definitely 'hear' that.

But the first thing I thought of when I first heard him, was actually JC. He sounds SO much like JC, I thought they were trying to tie the 2 in together.

In the end, Okonkwo threw the Cat.

Clint Eastwood crossed with Alex Skarsgard

reply

Clint Eastwood definitely, but there is someone else that sounds exactly like this kind that acts in film and is not this person.

reply

I thought Keanu Reeves. It's the sort of lack of emotion in his voice. I want Adam to say 'Woah!' now.

Who can take you higher than a twin peak mountain blue?

reply

For me, it sounded a little like Christian Bale's batman voice. Maybe a little less gravelly.

reply

i thought of Clint Eastwood

reply

Clint Eastwood crossed with Solid Snake!

His voice is so badass, wish I had a voice like that, then I'd get laid more then twice a year.

reply

Me too.

reply

A bit of Batman in it?

reply

Yeah, I got that same feeling. The way he speaks reminded me of Keanu Reeves. That and he has the whole Neo look.

reply

Oh man, thanks a bunch. It was driving me nuts that I couldn't place the voice. Definitely Tim Olyphant. I could even see the face but couldn't quite remember the name. I can understand why some people would hear a little Clint Eastwood, but it's a dead ringer for Tim.

Was thinking Tim as well. Its funny that some were thinking Clint though. Tim voiced "the Spirit of hte West" (an homage to Clints Man with no Name) in Rango.

Why is it whenever someone says "with all due respect", they really mean "kiss my ass"?

At first I thought it was Billy Baldwin, then I thought it was Milo Ventimiglia (Peter Petrelli from Heroes). I was surprised to find it wasn't either.

reply

I heard a mix of Clint Eastwood, David Hayter as Solid Snake, Christian Bale, and Keanu Reeves as Neo.

reply

I'm unsure where, but the voice was definitely familiar as hell...I couldn't place the exact spot, but I SWEAR I've played another video game with this guy doing the exact same voice...I'd have to go through it again but I just recently bought and completed Assassins Creed 3, and I notice he's credited in that so that's likely where the familiarity comes from...

Not to sound like an a$$, but you didn't complete Assassin's Creed 3, you just recently bought and completed Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood lol. ACIII is still yet to come my friend :)

reply

Either or...:P 3rd major release in the series, I keep seeing AC3 being used...even have a PC Gamer that uses the term floating around here somewhere, Brotherhood, AC3, ACIII, "that third *beep* game in the assassins creed series" all seem to wind up interchangeable wherever I see it. Kickass game whatever it's called...actually preferred it to the former two big releases in the series. Been hearing that Revelations is covering both Ezio and Altair in the same game which should be interesting...

Yeah i think it's more Ezio than Altair though.....but hey, at least we get to play as both this time around lol.

I was positive that it was Tahmoh Penikett, who I only know from Joss Whedon's Dollhouse but I guess he was on Battlestar Galactica as well. I was very surprised to find out that it wasn't him.

"Are you in the army?"
"No man, I just have short hair."

reply

Timothy Olyphant was definitely the first person that came to mind after I heard AJ's voice as well as saw him.
