I don't get it

People keep saying the show sucked until episode 8 or so. But it had me hooked from the very first episode. Maybe I'm just gullible.

Anyway, it's a shame the show is dead. Can't they at least save the sets and stuff to sell to some other outfit like SciFi Channel (I refuse to use "Y")? It has so much potential.

The show got better but it certainly never sucked. I thought the earlier episodes were trying to live up to that unfortunate sales pitch: "A 'Grey's Anatomy' in space." Thankfully, the science fiction started playing a much more prominant role than the musical beds between the crew. I'm just so p*ssed off about the whole cancellation thing. ABC didn't even give a damn to try and make it work, apparently.

I loved it from the first ep too. The show wasn't for everyone but it certainly had devoted fans! We made the effort to watch the last eps online (even using a proxy to watch through Canada's site). It really is a shame.

loved the episodes and watched it get better and better. Glad they at least tied it up somewhat. Damn shame there's no more.

What's interesting is that when episode 3 was aired they had come up with a bunch of stupid explanations for the much criticised scientific shortcomings of the show. Unfortunately they completely ignored the criticism about the show's idiotic format with the dreary voiceover bookends, the locker room twelve-year-old girl banter flashbacks and the two dimensional characters. The characters had more depth than this in He-Man. Lesson to be learnt: A half arsed sci-fi show and a half-arsed soap do not make a whole show when you put them together.

I also got hooked up on this show from the first episode. Was actually one of those not very many who saw the promotion trailers and got interested and was lucky enough to see first episode... but online, on ABC site.

Never felt that show overdosed on the "fluffy stuff" as many say on this board, maybe only Jen and Rollie had too much sugar, and Zoe was a little too much annoying in the beginning, oh yeah, and I personally wanted to kick Ajay, for the first episode... but than it all had an explanation and I felt that all this stuff will be developed in future into something else.

But that's me, I just tend to trust the author if I like the book/film from the beginning and let him take me alone on the ride of his imagination, I'm not one of those who will struggle, critisize, dislike but read/watch till the end, and publicly say *beep* about it after each page/episode.In case of strong dislike I just stop watching/ reading and what is more important talking about it...

This could be advise to people who like to torture themselves by watching shows they dislike: stop watching it! stop torturing yourself and others by seeding anger around! go find something you like and enjoy it! give us some loving, well maybe not to us, but to those who like the same show as you, we don't even have to know that u exist!

I personally am not a fan of Grace anatomy at all (tried to watch it once, but couldn't bear the boredom for 20 minutes), so I felt so bad for DG to be compared to it!!!! (needless to mention I won't go on Ga board to write about it though)

I am so glad that Defying Gravity - a show with outstanding story, talented cast, rich and psychologically insightful writing had a chance to be made, and just a bit scared to realise how little TV audience is ready to see something like this yet (or maybe even more scary is the fact that 2 million people opinion means nothing to network TV in a democratic country)...

Sorry, to much drama not enough sci-fi for the sci-fi channel. I absolutly loved this show from the start. You can read it in the post I started (It takes all 13 episodes to get the feel for the show.] It is a great show, I miss it, I also have hopes for its return, but I'm doubtful it will happen.
