This show is actually not bad.


Just finished the 13 episodes, I have to say I did enjoy it. Not sure how accurate the tag "Grey in space" is since I've never seen Grey, but the character/relationship first, space as a background is working. It took some effort to turn of the disbelief about the gravity thing, the instant communication and the crappy old hardware on Earth, but once done the rest is pretty good.

This show reminds me of Stargate: Universe, which also got canceled (on the SciFi channel no less), so I guess this kind of drama in space (and back on Earth) really doesn't work with the general audience or the SF geeks. Too bad, because I think this is pretty much the only way we can get a TV series about near future space travel (no FTL wrap drives) work. Because 99% of the time you're just drifting in space, nothing to see, how else do you get the audience without character drama?
