I need to say something ok.

I need to say something ok. I love this show, I love its cast, & the storylines as well. You all need to get off the hate for Tricia Helfer she is an amazing actress & a wonderful add to the cast of Dark Blue & adds a new demension as well. The show changed for the better its has humor and more depth, it cant all be ab...out the dark side of life and a one demensional side of life becaue its not like that in life. Bravo Dark Blue you are a treasure show all should watch.

I agree! I love the new addition to the cast. The only thing I have a problem with is the fact that they've seemed to drop the Dean and Jaimie storyline. Hopefully it's not a totally dead storyline and they'll bring it back.
But other than that one minor issue, I'm loving this new season, and I'm loving that it's got some humor!

Hey, it's a thingie! A fiendish thingie!

They drooped it because what sense would make to have 4 law enforcement officers on the same 5 person squad involved in a sexual or romantic relationship, that would be a bit far fetched.

Sex or a romantic involvement always changes a relationship, and it always affects a person's judgment. For obvious reasons, having two people involved with one another and doing this type of job is usually forbidden, and someone would have to transfer out of the squad, in this case if the top brass found out and these things always get found out, they would have to have two people transfer out of a squad that apparently work well together.

That's just my take on why they did it, and network executives like to add women to these series to bring in more female viewers, and Ms. Helfer is one those women that other women find attractive, having Ms. Helfer and Mr. McDermott's characters romantically involved also helps to attract female viewers, at least that's what the marketing people say, and a lot of men like her as well.

You're probably right, but the Dean/Jamie relationship is what hooked me onto this show and now that it's been erased in favor of one where I have no buy-in, I'm only turning in out of habit.

I was doing some searches about her casting, and she was specifically cast to be a love interest, and a member of the team. So you have to figure TPTB already had plans to nix the other relationship.

I actually find it interesting how TPTB come up with some of their decisions, and how they do all marketing research to cast a series. I don't always like their decisions but I find it interesting when they explain how and why they cast certain actors.

Ms. Helfer is tall and has beautiful yet intimidating looks, although in real life most law enforcement officers who are female never look like female actors or super models, most women that look like that can find better and safer jobs, making a lot more money, although I have seen a lot of female district attorneys that look like actors or models.

I actually liked Nikki Aycox better when she was on "Supernatural" she was good in the role of a demon.

Ms. Aycox doesn't seem to get a lot of screen or story line time this season, unfortunately. i started watching the series because of Ms. Aycox.

According to the episode description for the second to last episode, Dean asks Jaimie out on a proper date. So I find all this talk about how they dropped Dean/Jaimie kind of funny. Not shoved in our faces like Alex/Carter =/= totally over and done with. Considering this week is a Jaimie episode, I'm guessing we'll get something.

All I can say is look at the TNT site, and see who the two actors featured heavily on the Dark Blue page.

I'll put it like this, if I were just surfing around and came across that page, and knew nothing about the series, at first blush, I would assume that it was series about two detectives who were partners, one being male and the other female, and the female isn't Nicki Aycox.

I...have no idea what that has to do with the spoiler I posted?

Well I didn't see a description of the episode on the TNT site, just the name of the episode is entitled "Dead Flowers", and I'm just pointing out they're not trying to make Jamie and Dean a couple, they're promoting McDermott and Helfer's characters as love interest on the series.

I'll put it like this, any time "Dead Flowers" is in a title of anything, it's synonymous with a love affair gone bad or a bad situation in ones life.

There is even a site that a person can send dead flowers to the person that dumped, cheated or divorced them.

The name of the episode says a lot, and one of these couples is going to have a bad break up.

I agree... Dean x Jamie is waaay better than Carter x Alex. Really, her addition was so uncalled for.

Boycott movies that involve real animal violence! (and their directors too)

She was horrible in every aspect except appearance.

They just had to emasculate Carter. Well I hope the person responsible for the decision to add the character never works again.

She killed the show. Thanks Tricia
