the laugh track

I enjoy this show and watch it almost every weekday. But I get very annoyed by what I believe is the excessive use of a laugh track. It seems like the same laughs are used each time. I don't hear any variations. And sometimes they are heard after some sad words or phrases are spoken by the actors.
I watched the movie version of this program today. And the first think I noticed was the lack of a sound track.
