The people who enjoy this show

Must enjoy being irritated by an dumb, silly, ignoramos who's always distroying, messing up or just in the way. I'm sorry, I do not get the humor in that but to each it's own. Just had to get that off of my chest. I am getting very irritated by this annoying and played out fat Urkel stupid fool Bullsh#t PERIOD.

If I have offended you then I apologize but please explain why this is entertaining to you.

reply

I agree. I mean, its a way to be funny without making yourself look ignorant.

IMO, Urkel was funny. Yes, he was clumsy just like Mr. Brown, but Urkel didn't dumb down himself to make us laugh.

I liked the other show "house of Payne" but for the same reason I find it hard to watch. I love some of the story likes but Curtis really gets on my nerves. He's always making fun of something that isn't funny. Who does that? Another thing, if I hear "love you, mean it" one more time, I don't know what I'll do.

"Why should anyone have to explain anything to you"

Nobody has to explain anything to me but i did ask. I also said "to each it's own" and I know that everyone is not going to agree with me when I say that the show is irritating. Really, I didn't mean to offend anyone. There are some aspects of the show that I do like, like the serious story lines. It's just a little hard for me to get past Brown because he's irritating to me. I am nobody to have to answer to. I am simply a viewer with an opinion. Please except my humblest apology.

I think it's funny to see Mr. Brown do physical stuff. For a heavy fellow Mr. Mann can do some funny moves. In one episode he attempts not once but twice to touch his feet in mid air and he really got up there. In another, he tries to show off some self defense moves and goes non stop on a mat and almost stands on his head like a top.

Also he thinks he has dance moves. And let's not forget how he murders the English language. I have the space on my DVR, so why not?

I take the show for what it is, nothing more.

fanboys just cant take critism about their fav shows.

If you watched the show and hated it people will say "if you hate it so much why do you watch it?"

if you havent watched much of the show and hate it people will say "how can you hate a show if youve never seen it?"

The entire show just isn't about one person. There are more than one storyline in each episode. Lots of people enjoy this type of humor. This show gets very bad ratings, but it's undeserved. It's pretty funny. If you're talking about the lead character (Mr. Brown) being "[a dumb, silly, ignoramus who's always destroying, messing up or just in the way]" I have to disagree. He means well, but he's just funny as well... like Homer Simpson, Eric Matthews, &c. Yes, to each his or her own. Perhaps you shouldn't let this irritate you.

I don't watch the show religiously, but from the episodes I have seen, some get pretty deep. This show really doesn't deserve the bad critiques that it receives from people.

reply

Funny how you define Brown, yet you can't even spell or use proper grammar. This shows all of us who the dumb, silly ignoramus is. Just in case you haven't figured it out... Y O U.

I don't like the show, but if you are going to trash it, try not to show us your low intelligence level.

What's funny Adam Sandler been doing this kind of comedy for years now. When I say he isn't that funny people look at me like I am crazy.

reply

The show's target audience is the intellectually limited. It's going off the air because, after awhile, even a dog gets bored playing with a ball.
BTW, Adam Sandler is NOT funny and is highly over rated.

reply

Why is it just because you disagree with the viewers that like the show you express your concerns in the forms of an insult and compare them to a dog? Does it make you feel good to insult others? I watch both "House of Payne" and "Meet the Browns" and I don't consider myself intellectually limited. I don't understand why when someone dislikes a TV show or movie their "go-to" is to insult the viewers. Does it make you feel better about yourself in doing so? Would you rather us all be sheep and only like what you like? You tell us your viewing pleasure and I'm sure someone somewhere will disagree but have enough class not to insult you or how about a show your child or love-one watched? There may have been a show here and there that wasn't my favorite or a plot I wasn't crazy about BUT I watched the show because I liked Mr. Brown from the movie and when he guest-starred in House of Payne. Oh and since I'm from Atlanta I thought it was nice to watch a show that took place here. I just don't get people who make themselves feel better by typing insults on a computer screen. Aren't you big, bad and cool?

reply

Welcome to IMDb love, all that you just described is pretty much what they do here. There's always some lonely soul who just wants someone to talk back to them, this one actually asked for people "to explain" something LMAO! Learn to laugh at them like I do or just get to know the ignore button.

I tried to watch this show, five minutes in I'm pulling my hair out and looking for something to throw at the T.V. The character Renee is absolutely the worst. I never found myself wanting to curb stomp a character like I do when that cackling voice comes on the screen.

How that woman character is a "nurse" is beyond me. How any job would put up with someone like that is beyond me.

Shh, Do you hear that? It's the sound of teenage girls hearts breaking simultaneously!

I only made a request to those who were willing to enlighten me. I didn't think that anyone would take offense to such a simple question. For those of you who took my request and curiosity as an offense and responded accordingly, well your reasoning for liking this show doesn't come as a surprise, since it's obvious that you suffer from an inferior intellect. Honestly, the question wasn't directed towards you, anyway. It was directed towards people with a little more intelligence and ability to read and answer a question accordingly. For those of you who didn't take offense and actually gave a sensible response, I'll just chalk it up to the fact that we all have a very different sense of humor from one another and to each it's own.

Happy 2014!!!

I love this show! mr brown is so hilarious. i love how he always embarrassing cora and how he butchers the english language and has no clue about it ( i actually have been around elderly folks that do the same thing and have no clue). i also like how the shoe deals with deeper issue with the kids and sasha and will such as infertility, teen pregnancy, child abuse, molestation, etc. this show is not for everone just like every other show thats on tv. i dont like how i met your mother or two and a half men yet they are the top rated shows on tv. as a black american there are not a lot of shows on tv that show the black american culture (i.e. the black fraternity step team being shown). so i really hate that this show got cancelled. it seems like all we (black folks) can do to stay on tv is be on dramatic reality shows like basketball wives, real house wives of atlanata etc...and i know this post has errors im typing this on a non smart phone!
