Good as background art

I caught Sonja Wyss' WINTER SILENCE at the Montreal World Film Festival just the other day and have mixed feelings about it. While surely an important element of film is visuals, Wyss' film was just about that. The story, characters and plotting are nearly non-existent or underdeveloped to give way to the series of imagery on screen. As such, and considering it felt long at 70 minutes, I feel this is best suited as background art for parties more than something I would recommend as a film to sit down and put full attention on.
