Going straight to this after FIVE Roddy McDowall movies

Yes, I have all the original Apes movies and I've just rewatched them all, and this is a very interesting modern take on the storyline, albeit in an alternate universe.

However, I don't like the criticisms levelled against Roddy and all of the actors in those five films, for the groundbreaking prosthetics back in the 1960s for the Apes, which were unbeaten at the time. I mean, nothing of any note has beaten them until this movie... get my drift? NOTHING. Not even the director of Edward Scissorhands.

I mean, look at the makeup on Roddy: you can't even see the join between the skin by his eyes and the prosthetic. Fuck you, if you can.
